Made on a #1 frame, this early GH 16 gauge has Damascus barrels with matted concave rib with usual rib legend and white mid and front bead. Splinter forend with Deeley release is checkered and engraved in standard GH Grade pattern. Case colored action is engraved in standard GH Grade pattern. Made with double triggers, extractors, and auto safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a replacement Hawkins pad. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain about 80% Damascus pattern with some minor scratching. Action retains about 20% original case color, having toned mostly gray. Stocks are good with scattered impressions and handling marks and retain about half of their original finish with finish added for preservation. Checkering has thinned a bit and there is a minor loss behind top tang. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
