This is an example of a Python that left the factory as a blue gun and was ultimately stripped and refinished in a brushed nickel. This thinned out the pony and resulted in some slightly dished screws. It is also possibly the earliest known stainless Python known as it was made three years before the stainless models were introduced in 1983. CONDITION: The cylinder shows a light ring as it was fired after refinish. It is standard in all respects with Colt gold medallion rubber grips. It comes in a period correct box that is labeled for a blue model with matching serial number. This gun was made in 1980 and has the yellow hang tag and both Colt booklets. If you are looking for a handsome Python that you can shoot and not feel guilty, this might be your gun.
