Someone with money took a post war Colt to a true craftsman master engraver to make this lovely custom. The cylinder was replaced with a non-fluted example. The serial number was polished away and replaced with 289 WBH. Nearly the entire surface was then engraved in deep hand chiseled relief with punch dot backgroud and wolf's head hammer. All screws and trigger are high polish nitre fire blued and was then fitted with phenomenal one piece ivory grips. The finish is sliver plate. The engraving is impeccable. CONDITION: The action and bore are like new. All original legends are sharp. There are not enough superlatives to describe this revolver, simply said, true masterpiece of gunmaker art.
