This gun started off in life as a standard 3 1/2" Sheriff's Model in .38 Long Colt caliber. It is a six shot double action with fluted cylinder, standard fare. In addition, it has a London barrel address and British proofs on cylinder. It is now masterfully engraved with nearly full coverage in nineteenth century scroll with punch dot back-ground. The barrel, frame, cylinder, and straps are outlined in gold. The revolver is finished in full blue. The faux ivory grips feature a scrimshaw type portrait of Sam Colt on right side and the Colt Blue dome on left side highlighted in blue and yellow tones. CONDITION: The bore is sharp and the action works fine in single action mode but not double action and will need some tweaking. Otherwise, the gun is in near new condition, appears unfired since engraving and finished. A spectacular Lightning.
