This is a rare custom finish Detective .38 with gold plated cylinder, ejector and cylinder release. Balance is high polish Colt blue with walnut grips. The special end label reads "SPECIAL CUSTOM FINISH SHOW GUN" with matching serial number. CONDITION: The gun has never been fired but there is a light drag line and couple of minor handling marks. Box includes paperwork. A really special one of a kind gun. The factory letter states that this gun was a display gun to be kept by the Colt factory. It was shipped to Greg Martin Auctions in Frisco on October 16th, 2008. They list it with a special order 2-1/8" barrel, blue with gold plated cylinder, cylinder release and pin. Checkered walnut grips with revealing backstrap.
