Made in 1998, this stunning full blued gun with one piece ivory grips. Barrel is engraved in about "Class C" level of scroll engraving with gold bands and muzzle and near frame as well as bands that extend to ejector rod housing and gold floral leaf accent. Model and caliber marking inlaid in gold on left side of barrel. Fragile skeletal carved blade front sight in flora. Action is near full coverage scroll engraved and gold inlaid in flowing border pattern with gold bands on cylinder, gold inlaid Colt on left side of frame. High polish blue trigger, cylinder pin, and ejector rod head. Gold flowers around trigger guard screw and on bow. Butt with scroll engraving and gold borders as well as backstrap. Housed in a blue Colt SAA box which says on side "TIM GEORGE 4-3/4". This wonderful work signed by master engraver, Tim George, under the cylinder pin. Tim George started his career as an apprentice under a Colt Firearms master engraver (Ken Hurst). After years of study he went on his own in 1985. In 1990 he earned his “Master” status from The Firearms Engravers Guild of America ( FEGA ). CONDITION: Extremely fine and near mint. Retains virtually all factory original finish with no visible drag line and no powder burn. Box is excellent with only minor rubs. This gun is an absolute treasure and work of art.
