Lot consists of: (A) Fraternal sword made by the The Henderson-Ames Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Straight spear point blade decorated with florals, knights, and mythical creatures. Group logo on left side of blade but obscured by corrosion. Cast crossguard decorated with bust of a knight in armor. Wood grip. Pommel decorated with a knight's head in helmet with gargoyle atop. CONDITION: Fair. Blade heavily oxidized, making discerning some of the decoration difficult. Brass is a deep brass color. Wood with evidence of use. Some traces of what appear to be old gilding on blade. (B) Jas. H. Wilson Military academy sword in standard configuration with added decoration of floral on punch dot field on throat and drag. CONDITION: Good. Blade is shiny with crisp decoration and scattered oxidation. Brass now a deep yellow. Scabbard with scattered oxidation. (C) Imperial German saber with decorated blade with "In Treue Fest" and a reaching woman. German nickel silver guard pierced with a stylized lion and Bakelite grip. Old sword knot still attached. Accompanied by a steel scabbard with single hanger. CONDITION: Good. Blade is good, decoration is crisp. Hilt is good with evidence of use and good traces of gilt in the line decoration. Sword knot has unravelled at end. Bakelite grip has significant loss at front and running from ferrule to approximately the mid section of grip. Scabbard is good with chipping to finish, a few dents, and some cracquelure to finish. (D) Standard configuration German World War II Army saber by F.W. Holler. CONDITION: Good, blade is bright. Brass has acquired a pleasing mustard patina. Grip has cracked where D guard meets pommel that runs to first turning of wire. (E) Three blades retailed by Horstmann and imported from Solingen. Blades are variously decorated with patriotic motifs. One blade is relatively plain and naval in decoration, one gilded with a Damascus blade with Eagle and E Pluribus Unum banner and large U.S., one curved blade with stands of arms and Eagle with E Pluribus Unum ribbon and large U.S. CONDITION: Good. Blades have scattered oxidation, curved blade with somewhat more oxidation than others. (F) Complete box of M48A1 spotter tracer ammo. CONDITION: Good. Box with some roughness to sharp edges. Ammo with some minor losses to paint but still live. (G) Japanese Type 92 telescopic sight. Marked "32622 / 4x10 / (Nikko Logo) / No 3638 / JES (Kanji)". CONDITION: Good. Some scattered chipping to finish and evidence of use but complete. Optics are cloudy. EW
