1943 manufacture. Winchester Model 1897 Trench Shotgun. Blue finish with ventilated handguard with bayonet lug for pattern 1917 bayonet. Crisply inspected GHD by Guy H. Drewry. 18 grrove round forearm. "US" inspected on left side of receiver with Ordnance bomb inspection on chamber of barrel. Cylinder marked choke designation. 21 inch barrel with filled bead hole. Takedown variation with 5 round magazine capacity. CONDITION: Excellent as totally restored. Over 98% of the restored finish remains with slight edge wear. Ventilated handguard is a contemporary reproduction. Wood stocks are excellent as restored as is inspection. Action is crisp and tight and bore is excellent.
