Standard 1935 contract Mauser rifle made for Brazil and so marked with the Brazilian crest on the receiver ring. All numbers are matching. This is one of the "new in crate" rifles that was uncovered in the 1970's. These were made between 1935 and 1937 with a total production of 7,000 guns. Original sling. Unmarked standard 98k style bayonet with scabbard and 1937 dated leather frog. Bayonet is not original to the gun. CONDITION: Retains 98% original finish with some very slight wear marks. All markings are sharp and clear. Wood is fine with minor handling marks. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Bayonet has been refinished. GR
