This is a commercially produced banner Mauser 98k rifle, dated 1933. This was purchased by the Postal Service and has the proper DRP cartouche on the left side of the stock, as well as the city marking in the sling cutout on the right side. Matching numbers. Not import marked. CONDITION: Finish has a mottled appearance, most likely touched up. Markings are clear. Wood is very good with dings and handling marks. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. GR
