98k manufactured by Steyr Daimler-Puch in 1942. "bnz/42" on receiver ring. Matching numbers include receiver, bolt, bolt stop housing, barrel bands, rear sight, floorplate, and hand guard. Laminated stock with later war cupped buttplate. Complete with leather sling and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal components retain a good amount of finish, showing areas of thinning and wear with patina showing through. Buttplate shows corrosion and an area of cleaned pitting. Stocks are good, showing handling marks and indentations all around. Leather sling is in good condition showing wear and aging. Bright bore with areas of cleaned pitting. Strong rifling throughout.
