Lot consists of: (A) Custom US Springfield Model 1903 sporting rifle. This rifle utilizes the 1903 military frame and the original military barrel which is stamped "SA (Ordnance bomb) 4-22". It is marked "7x57" at breech which would indicate new chambering, but should definitely get tested before firing. Utilized original military front sight and when they rechambered the rifle, the barrel markings are off-center. Original military floorplate, trigger guard and trigger. CONDITION: Barrel is reblued of which 98% remains. Front sight is not finished. Frame is brown and not refinished. Lyman 48 receiver sight has been fitted to the right side. Used the original stock and sporterized it with pistol grip, nice checkering, horn forend tip and black composite buttplate and pistol grip cap. To make this a nice rifle, all metal needs to be reblued, barrel markings need to be polished off or centered. Stock is gorgeous, nicely checkered with a few usual dings and needs little to no attention. Fine bore and action. If all the metal was reblued to match, this would be a real handsome, custom Springfield. (B) Frame 1916 dated Mauser Oberndorf. Bore measures 6mm, cartridge unknown. New heavy barrel added. Barrel and frame were nicely blued. Homemade front sight is amateur at best. Lyman 38 receiver sight added. Stock has a pistol grip, flat forend, straight comb, bench style with Niedner-style buttplate. CONDITION: The bolt has not been fitted yet and does not close. Original military floorplate and trigger guard have been reblued over some pitting, as has frame. Mint bore. Another rifle project that needs to be finished, with the major expense being the barrel and Lyman sight. (C) Japanese Arisaka frame. Rebarreled and marked ".45-70". No other markings on barrel. CONDITION: 98% blue with handling marks. Arisaka frame has been refinished. Bolt fits and closes. The floorplate, trigger guard and stock are original. Stock has been cut down. Would make for an interesting .45-70 bolt action but definitely needs a new custom stock added. Barrel was not cut for any sights. If you're handy, all three of these rifles have great potential. A fair amount of money has already been spent on new barrels and Lyman sights, each simply needs to be finished.
