Lot consists of: (A) 1888 vintage Model 1873. Full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. (B) 1890 vintage Model 1886. Full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Both guns are completely refinished, with most all the reapplied blue remaining. Wood on the 1886 is refinished showing little wear since restoration. Wood on the 1873 is mostly original showing moderate to heavy wear. The 1873 stock and buttplate have been ground at the toe to a blunt profile. Both guns have strong bores and tight actions. -MKS-
