A) Jacob Rupertus Philadelphia PA, Manufactured in 1870's and 1880's this swiveling breech single barrel shotgun. Similar to design of his swiveling breech single barrel pistols. 32" 10 ga., barrel marked "RUPERTUS PHILDA" on barrel with no other markings found. Exposed hammer with lever to open swinging breech forward of trigger guard. Mounted with two-piece walnut stocks and smooth steel butt plate. CONDITION: Very good as all finishes have turned patina. Action appears to operate properly. Bore is lightly pitted through out. B) Unmarked 12 bore percussion double shotgun with one piece walnut stock checkered at wrist. 33" unmarked barrels with solid center rib. Fitted with period sling swivels and contemporary leather carry sling. Smooth steel butttplate. CONDITION: Fair, Locks operate properly, Overall patina with light corrosion overall. Very attractive Civil War period double.
