Made in 1942. Shipped to England under the lend lease program in World War II. Parkerized finish. "U.S. PROPERTY" marked on the right side of the frame. British proofed on the right side of the frame, slide, and barrel. Checkered wood grips with Colt medallion at the top on each side. Magazine is blued with Colt marking on floorplate. Accompanied by the original brown cardboard box with the serial number of the gun written on both the lid and bottom. Also included is the original manual, parkerized steel cleaning rod and grade-C paper. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98%+ with just a few small handling marks. Face of bolt shows no cartridge marks, same goes for the cartridge feed ramp and chamber. Markings are sharp and clear. Grips are fine with minor handling marks. Fine bore with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Box is solid, showing age with some scuff marks. GR
