Late 20th century. Winchester, Virginia. American dining set consists of two-part breakfront cabinet with swan's neck crest, a two pedestal dining table with satinwood and mahogany crossbanding and three matching leaves, and six Queen Anne-style side chairs. The breakfront is in two parts, with the upper case featuring a swan's neck pierced and carved pediment above four astragal-glazed doors, set back on the lower case and fitted with four paneled doors, the outermost with drawers. The pedestal table has cast-brass pawfeet, the top with D-ends and reeded edges. The chairs each with yoked crestrail, vasiform splat, molded trapezoidal frame with floral silk-covered slip seats raised on cabriole legs with pad feet. Overall, the set is in very good condition, having only minimal, in-use wear. CORRECTION: The dining table measures 29" T. x 46" W. x 72" L. (closed). There are three additional 16" leaves, original to the table.
