This pepperbox is Flayderman 5a-040; fluted barrels with nipple shield made integral with frame. Well marked "ALLEN & THURBER & CO. PAT 1835 WORCESTER". CONDITION: Barrel is fine, retaining considerable pasty blue. Frame is good retaining traces of original blue finish. Grips are good, retaining considerable original varnish. Trigger guard with some traces of original bluing. Bores are good. Action could use some adjustment. An above average specimen of this model. MZ
