Left side of frame marked "United States Property". Government inspector stamp on left side of frame behind trigger. Manufactured by Colt in 1918. Correct long hammer. Finished square shape opening under grips. Correct slide stop. Correct sights and grips. Replaced clip. CONDITION: Near excellent overall with 80 - 85% original blue starting to thin. Grips show moderate to heavy wear. Action is tight and smooth. Bore is bright and clean. Overall a most presentable 1918 vintage U.S. 1911. -MKS-
