The oval shaped badge measures 1-3/4" and is of cast brass. The front features the relief outline of the Texas star and relief lettering "TEXAS", narrow double-line relief border around outside edge. Back with two sheet brass triangle-shaped fasteners attached with lead. Appears to be Civil War era Confederate. CONDITION: Very dark patina overall, possibly dug. One fastener on back is partially bent. Front face with some scattered scratches and light marring.
