Proofed in 1967 and so stamped on barrel flats along with SN and makers name. Full length matted top rib with twin white beads and left barrel tube marked "Abercrombie & Fitch / Made in Italy". Casehardened boxlock action is lightly border engraved with engraved screws, and engraved and blued top lever. Made with double triggers, extractors, and non-auto safety. Long semi-beavertail forend with Anson type push button release is nicely checkered in point pattern. Buttstock with rounded knob grip is checkered in two-point pattern, replaced brass oval near toe, and terminates with a thin checkered buttplate which is very slightly undersized. Comes with a brown leather case with brown cloth interior. Case has brass plaque on top which reads "Custom Built for Joe Papandrea By MBI, N.Y.". CONDITION: Excellent as partially restored. Barrels retain approximately 95% of their original blue. Action retains about 90% original case color with some toning on bottom. Stocks retain most of an older restored finish but are sound, buttplate as noted above, and stock oval has been replaced. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are bright and shiny. Case is very good with some wear. JSL
