#212 of 500 Winchester Model 23 "Golden Quail". This gun features a rust blued barrels with a swamped wide rib, marked "Golden Quail". The left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER GOLDEN QUAIL -20ga -70mm". The right barrel is marked "MADE IN JAPAN". The receiver is coin finished and engraved with floral accents surrounding quail and a setter on the left receiver, two flushing quail on the right receiver, and a gold plated quail is engraved on the floor plate. The floor plate is also engraved "ONE OF 500" and "Golden Quail". The water table has been jeweled. The stock is lightly figured walnut over, featuring Fleur-de-lis, sharp checkering, a Winchester pad, and finished with a high gloss Winchester finish.The forend is a semi beavertail with sharp checking and a Fleur-de-lis in the center. Includes: Original canvas case with leather accents and cardboard box numbered to gun. Condition: Near new, showing light handing marks only. Mechanically crisp and ejectors in time. JTH
