Ballard No. 1 - 1/2 Hunter's Rifle. Full octagon 30" barrel chambered in .40-65 caliber. Large blade front and standard rear barrel sights. Select grain uncheckered walnut butt stock and forearm. blue with case hardened frame, lever, and hammer. Rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent with 98% bright original blue on barrel. Traces of case colors turning a dove grey patina. Wood is excellent showing minimum wear. Bore is excellent bright and clean. Overall an attractive rifle that has seen minimum use. -MKS- CORRECTION: It has been discovered that there is significant pitting that has been cleaned from improper storage about 2 inches from muzzle end on left side of barrel.
