Lot consists of four leather shot flasks and four copper-body civilian powder flasks of the 1840s and 1850s. (A) Leather. Hanging game motif. Spout loose. (B) Leather. Hunting dog. Minor scuffs. Spout with some gilt. (C) Leather. Running rabbit. Open seams. Scuffs. (D) Leather. Hanging game. Minor paint spots. Very good, but spring missing. (E) Copper. Scrolling floral motifs. "Patent" on top of brass. Spring missing. Minor dents. Some small green spotting to copper and brass. (F) Stag head and stag in a clearing. Green spotting. Split to spout. Spring missing. (G) Floral palmetted and hanging floral motifs along top edge. (H) Hanging game. Medium bright brass tone. Slight bend to spout. Small dents. Slight rubbing along one seam exposing gray.
