This is an interesting gun in that it is a Walther pre-war Mod. HP. Following WWII, this gun was refurbished by the Austrian military. The markings on the left side of the slide are weak, with a serial number stamped into the legend. Eagle BH marking on the left side of the frame. Eagle N proofs on the right side of the slide, barrel and locking block. Matching numbers. Import marked on the right side of the frame. Black Bakelite grips. P.38v/ U marked magazine with non-matching number stamped into the base plate. Accompanied by a "gxy 1944" black leather flap holster. CONDITION: Retains 90% Austrian military re-blue with some light surface rust. Original Walther markings are weak due to refurbishment, Austrian markings are clear and sharp. Grips are fine with light handling marks. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Holster is dry with some crazing and flaking, strong stitching. GR
