Beautifully made 16 gauge side by side shotgun with an under barrel (drilling) chambered in 8mm X 57mm. Features include removable trigger assembly. Unique flip up rear barrel sight operated by a tang mounted slide. Blue 23 - 1/2" barrels with coin finished, and scroll engraved frame. Nicely figured English walnut stock with finely cut hand checkering with ribbons. Trap door in stock houses 4 each rifle cartridges. Barrel and stock mounted sling mounts. Complete with partition fitted leather case with green interior. Accompanying the gun is a Double Gun Journal article discussing a wild Boar and Pheasant hunt sponsored by the California Side by Side Society at the beautiful Rock Springs Ranch and Lodge. Article features a photograph of this beautiful gun along with its owner Roger Sanger and his trophy wild boar taken with this gun. CONDITION: Excellent overall with virtually all the original rust blue on barrels and coined finished frame. Bores are bright and clean. Wood and checkering show very minimum wear. Overall, exceptionally high condition for a 1930s era gun. -MKS-
