Lot contains: (A) Officer visor cap, (B) Enlisted Signal branch visor cap, and (C) Enlisted Flying branch visor cap. (A) Luftwaffe officer cap modified with EM/NCO insignia visor cap made in a higher quality blue gray wool with several moth tracks on the front around the eagle, with moderate wear and soiling, especially on the top cover and front. A black ribbed cotton center band with moderate soiling, and crushed on the right side behind the chin cord button. The silver bullion piping is heavily damaged on the front above the eagle with with three inch section of exposed wire, with several areas of light damage to the rest of the crown piping, as well as the piping above and below the center band. The eagle and wreath are the enlisted version and have been added. The eagle is loose, and the wreath have been bolted through the cap with the exposed bolt and nut visible inside.The black vulkanfibre visor presents some very light wear and and crazing, with the underside in a green crosshatch pattern. The officer silver bullion chin cord is attached and light damage. The interior is fully lined in a light golden-brown rayon with moderate to heavy staining. The sweat shield is present and intact with a detailed "Erel" maker mark. The sweat shield is intact with scuff marks. The light brown leather sweatband has light damage with staining throughout . CONDITION: Good overall. (B) Luftwaffe EM/NCO Signal branch cap made in a blue gray wool with with no visible damage other than a small area of moth tracking to the right of the eagle. A black ribbed fabric center band with light aging. The brown piping appears to be undamaged except for a moth nip above the eagle, and light wear overall. The enlisted eagle and wreath made from aluminum with light aging, and both may have been replaced as they are loose. The black vulkanfibre visor presents moderate wear and and crazing, with the underside in a green crosshatch pattern with staining. The enlisted chin cord is attached with light to moderate aging. The interior is fully lined in a light golden-brown rayon with moderate staining. The sweat shield is present and intact with a "Otto Zillmann" maker mark. The dark brown leather sweatband has light damage the rear piece separated from the small rivet. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. (C) Luftwaffe EM/NCO flying branch cap made in a blue gray wool with with a dozen plus small moth holes throughout. A black ribbed fabric center band with moderate soiling, and crushed throughout. The yellow piping appears to be undamaged, with fading and light wear. The enlisted eagle is missing and wreath is made from aluminum with light aging. The black vulkanfibre visor presents moderate wear, the front lower rim is not present, crazing throughout, with the underside in a green crosshatch pattern. The enlisted chin cord is attached with light to moderate aging. The interior is fully lined in a light golden-brown rayon with moderate staining. The sweat shield is present and it 75% detached with a nice "H. AHLERS, POTSDAM" maker mark on a heavy piece of rayon which is sewn to the liner. The medium brown leather sweatband has heavy damage and is cracked and crushed in several areas. CONDITION: Good overall. WZ
