Lot contains: (A) Heer Forestry Service officer visor cap, and (B) Heer Artillery officer visor cap. (A) Forestry service visor cap made in a Feldgrau ribbed wool with no visible signs of damage, with a dark green wool center band with one tiny moth hole on the left side behind the button. The dark green piping is intact with no visible damage. The Heer silver bullion eagle, wreath, and aluminum cockade are undamaged. The insignia have been reapplied as there are hand sewn stitches which are through the lining, which are visible from the inside. The black vulkanfibre visor presents some very light wear and almost indistinguishable crazing, with the undamaged underside in a tan crosshatch pattern. The silver bullion chin cord is attached and undamaged, but since it is too long might be a replacement. The interior is fully lined in a light golden rayon with only light wear. The undamaged sweat shield is present with the maker marks of "Uniform Fabrik W. Michovious, Cottbus" embossed on it. The light brown leather sweatband has light wear and toning, but is detached along the entire visor which was likely caused by the reattachment of the insignia. CONDITION: Excellent to near mint overall. (B) Artillery officer visor cap made in a high quality Feldgrau wool with approximately one dozen tiny moth holes on the top and around the crown. A dark green wool center band which appears to be undamaged but lightly crushed in some areas. The red piping is intact with four tiny moth holes on the crown piping. A Heer silver bullion wreath, aluminum cockade, and aluminum enlisted eagle are attached. All three have been reapplied with hand sewn thread visible behind the wreath on the inside. The black vulkanfibre visor presents some light wear and heat damage, with the underside in a stained medium brown crosshatch pattern. The silver bullion chin cord has light damage. The interior is fully lined in a light golden-rayon with very light damage with staining to 45-50%. The sweat shield is present with the maker mark of "Mutzenfabrikation, Josef Weithmann, Ausburg" embossed on it. The light brown leather sweatband has separated on the sides where it must have been folded, has a 1" crack on the right front, and has separated by the rivet in the rear. CONDITION: Very good overall. WZ
