(A) Colt Model 1862 Pocket Police Revolver. Considered by many collectors as the most handsome of all Colt percussion era pocket revolvers. 6 - 1/2" round barrel with creeping style loading lever. Five-shot .36 caliber rebated cylinder with half length flutes. Blue with case hardened frame, loading lever, and hammer. Silver plated trigger guard and backstrap. One-piece varnished walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good overall. Matching serial number 7683 on all major parts including the wedge. 10-15% original blue. Good traces of case color on frame and lever. Grips show 50% original varnish with moderate wear. Cylinder has an area of heavy dents. (B) Colt Model 1849 Pocket with 4" barrel. Small frame with five-shot cylinder. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer, and loading lever. Silver plated brass trigger guard and backstrap. One-piece varnished walnut grips. CONDITION: Fine overall with matching serial number 109552 on all major components including the wedge. Mostly a pleasing brown patina overall. The cylinder has been polished bright to bare metal. Grips are excellent with most original varnish, showing minimum wear. -MKS-
