Lot consists of: (A) Standard five-shot model with two-line Hartford CT address. Made in 1860. All matching numbers. CONDITION: Retains a pleasing patina overall with some minor dings and pitting. Markings are clear. Grass grip straps have a pleasing patina. There is a piece missing from the front right grip where it meets the frame. Good mechanical function. (B) Six-shot model with a single line New York address. Made in 1863. Loading lever does not match. Gun is housed in a wood case that appears to be European in origin and has been lined and partitioned in recent times, does not quite fit the gun right. Flask is period as is the Colt marked brass 2 cavity mold. Brass HICKS cap tin. CONDITION: Gun has been buffed and then refinished. Markings are weak. The numbers the back strap and trigger guard are no longer present from cleaning. Matching numbers on barrel, cylinder and frame. Flask is in very good condition with some original varnish. Mold has dings, but clear marking. Case is solid. GR
