This is a Regina style 18, 12.25" disc player with a tab gum vending mechanism. Dating to 1899, this single comb music box was promoted as the "Musical Salesman" and is the only version giving the customer two plays and a stick of gum for a nickel. This example is all original with original factory vending mechanism and original finish. Comes with several discs. The cabinet is made of oak with beautiful hand carved trim and minor wear. Includes wind up key but no key for the back door. Reference: "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill and Peggy Enes, page 132.
