Made in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania by J.H. Johnston circa 1850. Full rifled octagon barrel signed in script "J.H. Johnston" with rifle sights. Full curly maple stock with four coin silver inlays including a beautiful federal eagle on the cheekpiece. Brass furniture with engraved four piece patchbox with typical Johnston engraving. Golcher percussion lock with double set triggers. Comes with research on gunmaker. CONDITION: Overall aged patina with no visible repairs or restoration. Dark original finish with good mechanics. DLM
