Lot consists of: (A) Civil War M1864 U.S. cartridge pouch with original inside tins on original belt with lead filled "US" buckle and cap box. Cap pouch is marked "H.H. HARTZELL US ORD. DEPT. PHIL." under flap, and cartridge pouch has hand inked writing under flap "PHIL WILLIAMSON N.L.I.". (B) M1857 Pattern of 1861 Cartridge Box and Sling. Cartridge box is an excellent example of an early war issued box. Belt tabs are riveted which is indicative of an 1862 to 1863 issue. Box retains its original sling, with its lead-filled eagle breastplate and US lead-filled box plate on shoulder strap. Box retains its original attachment thongs, belt loops, side ears, and inside tins. Japanned sling buckles are present and are firmly in place and well attached. (C) Rock Island Arsenal 1904 dated .30-40 Krag caliber McKeever cartridge pouch.
