Original paint on hand-stitched canvas, measuring 15" X 18-1/2", with cover flap painted deep red orange with black and gilt trim. Numerical company and regimental designations (6th. INF'T.Co./16th. REG'T.) indicates enrolled militia. CONDITION: Knapsack in shadow box frame, flap retains about 95% original paint.
