Professionally converted British SMLE .3030 rifle to sporter configuration. Receiver ring marked 1944 BS (BSA Shirley). Receiver side No4MK1* with BS marking on chamber. Fitted with a superb Parker Hale 5C micrometer receiver sight as well as a Parker Hale marked commercial ramp front sight. Forearm has been cut down and profiled to a tapered sporter configuration and a commercial sling swivel stud installed. Buttstock has been refinished and a oil finish applied matching the forearms. The bore is bright and sharp and mechanics operate properly. Bolt number matches receiver. A very nice traditional military sporter. TDW
