A pair of counter top trade stimulators. The first is a Daval "X-Ray". This trade stimulator has a cast aluminum body, painted in a metallic shade of blue. The three reel strips appear to be original, having darkened with time. "Line up 3 of-a-kind for Added Amusement." Gumballs are displayed at the front and dispensed to the left of the machine. Manufactured by Daval in 1940. Repainted and working with keys. The second is a Groetchen "Mercury". This counter top three-reel token payout machine features cigarette reel strips and advertises for packs of cigarettes from three of a kind combinations. Rarely seen in a 5¢ version. Repainted case and original reel strips. Working and with keys. Circa 1939.
