Revered for its reliability in combat situations, the British Vickers machine gun was used by over 40 different countries militaries during its service from the Great War to the 1960's. Over the course of its lifespan, the Vickers was modified to accommodate roles for use in armored vehicles, aircraft, and naval vessels. This example's receiver has been replaced with a steel dummy receiver. Fluted jacket has been painted a dark green. Barrel and bolt spring have been removed. Complete with tripod, fusee chain, spring, metal sheet cover, and an ammo can with partially loaded cloth belt. CONDITION: Metal components on the Vickers retain majority of applied finish, showing scattered cosmetic handling marks. Tripod shows wear and loss to paint, but is completely functional. This makes for a fine display or parts kit for any enthusiast or collector. MW
