Designed by Browning, the M2HB served a variety of roles for the U.S. military during World War II, including aircraft guns, anti-aircraft guns on sea vessels, armored fighting vehicles such as the M45 Quadmount, and infantry use. The Browning M2HB continues to be used to this day, albeit with modern modifications. This M2HBs were manufactured by TNW Inc. using a new semi-automatic sideplate and original U.S. parts and components. Right side of receiver reads "U.S. GOVERNMENT MODEL M2HB/ SEMI AUTO 50 CALIBER/ VERNONIA, OR/ SER. NO. 000204". All components were refinished in a gray parkerized finish. Complete with tripod, traverse and elevation mechanism, armorers kit, and barrel sleeve. CONDITION: Gun retains virtually all reapplied parkerized finish, showing minor cosmetic wear and wear on the barrel. Bore is bright with good rifling throughout. Bore could use some cleaning to remove old grease and cosmoline. Tripod retains most of its reapplied paint, showing minor wear. Overall, an attractive example of a semi-automatic M2HB. MW
