1888 vintage Model 1873 chambered in scarce .22 Short. Full 24" blue octagon barrel and magazine tube. Blue frame with case hardened hammer, lever, and buttplate. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. CONDITION: Excellent with 90-95% original blue on barrel and magazine tube. Approximately 85% original blue on frame mixed with brown patina. Strong case color on hammer. Traces of case color on lever and buttplate, turning mostly a grey/brown patina. Bore is dark. Action is tight and crisp. Buttstock is excellent showing minimum wear with a nice raised grain. Forearm appears to have had some finish added. Overall a very clean and attractive .22 caliber Model 1873. -MKS-
