Lot consists of a faience bowl with a nautical scene of men putting a tender into the water of a bay with a ship with sails raised in the distance. A castle stands on a cliff by the bay. The scene is framed by sails and masts. Signed on the underside "E GALLE, EG" with the Cross of Lorraine, and depose. The lot is completed with a footed boat-shaped bowl with enameled blue flowers, brown stems, and amber leaves against a ribbed body. The bowl is complete with matching enameled lid. Signed on the underside "E GALLE NANCY". Condition: Nautical bowl has some minor flakes to high points of the side of the rim; otherwise very good. Covered bowl is very good to excellent.
