Late Qing Dynasty. The three-panel chamfered and molded back with scrolled crest carved in relief with exotic birds in floral landscapes. The back joined to low arm panels, each carved with a floral garland, centering the rectangular solid seat, raised on square legs. The frontal legs with carved returns centering a floral carved apron. The sides of the daybed with raised panels.Size: 41" T. x 78" L. x 22" D. Seat height: 18". Condition: The settee or daybed retains original surface with rich patina. The three back panels and arm panels are fitted with rectangular pegs that slide into slots for assembly. These may need adjustments to fit snugly in place. Otherwise, very good.
