20th century. Japan. The first consisting of a coffee pot, creamer and sugar, five cups and six saucers, accompanied by six cake plates. All are beautifully decorated with flowering Wisteria and exotic birds. Each is signed with a three character mark. Size: Teapot 5 - 1/2" T., cake plates 6" Dia., cups 4" Dia. Condition: Generally good with light overall crazing. Two cups with shallow rim flecks, the sugar bowl lid with a rim fleabite; otherwise, very good overall. The second service of 15 pieces is marked "JAPAN". It is comprised of a teapot with cover, sugar and creamer with lids, six cake plates and six cups with saucers. Decorated overall with pastoral landscapes and young women with parasols at leisure. Each piece with a two character mark. Size: Teapot 6" T., plates 6" Dia., cups 3 - 3/4" Dia. Condition: With light craquelure throughout, a fleabite on the teapot rim, and minimal wear to gilt throughout. Good to very good overall.
