The deeply curved 82cm shinogi zukuri blade of extremely elegant form with active ko choji hamon featuring tsunagsi. Nakago is ubu with four character Uda Kuni Masa signature. Copper habaki. Iron tsuba pierced with stylized dragonfly. Full tachi koshirae with ashi of brown shakudo with isheimei ground. Shakudo menuki of naginata. CONDITION: Blade in good state of polish with considerable shintetsu in shigane on signature side. Mounts are good throughout. Sukumaki of later date than koshirae. Black lacquer roiro saya with only the expected minor damage. This is a spectacular and very early Muromachi signed ubu tachi by a known maker and as such, rarely appears on the auction market. MZ
