The 35cm blade with complex midare hamon measures nearly 4cm across at ha-machi. Original well cut wide hi. Ubu nakago with seven character signature for Sujikai yasurime. CONDITION: Full polish with all details clearly visible. Fine mokume hada and no serious flaws. Large modern solid silver cat scratched habaki. Nakago is phenomenal for a sword of this period. Signature matches Fujishiro perfectly but has NBTHK paper to further guarantee its authenticity. One of the largest tanto we have catalogued with a most attractive blade. In high quality shirasaya. MZ
