Made by Elisha Pancost from Elizabeth, Pennsylvania circa 1861. Gun has octagon rifled barrel stamped "E.L. Pancost" and "M. C. Lily". Lily could be Marenzo C. Lily of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. There may be some connection between the two makers, but so far no information has been found. Gun has been fitted with a Lyman tang peep sight and a Redfield globe front sight with rear "V" notch original rear sight. "RB" marked percussion lock with turned front trigger and set rear trigger. Walnut halfstock with brass furniture and pewter nose cap. CONDITION: Overall good condition with good mechanics and bore. Missing ramrod pipes and ramrod. Interesting western Pennsylvania rifle worthy of more research. DLM
