Made by Henry Deringer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Full octagon smoothbore barrel with rifle sights stamped "H Deringer Philada" on barrel flat. Unmarked flint lock with single trigger control. Full curly maple incised carved stock with brass furniture including a four piece engraved patchbox with a floral finial and release in the toe. CONDITION: Gun has overall aged look with forestock being a replacement from entry pipe out. Wrist has repair of high quality Wood has been cleaned but retains pleasing aged look. Lock is a reconversion and is mechanically sound. Barrel has some flaking but appears to be original in length. Good looking rifle by a prominent Philadelphia maker. DLM
