Civil War era seven shot repeating carbine; loaded by magazine tube fitted through center of buttstock. Blue with case hardened frame and walnut stocks. Famous for having gained the personal endorsement of President Abraham Lincoln. One of the most widely used and popular carbines of the American Civil War. CONDITION: Fair with no original finishes remaining. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is surprisingly bright and clean. Faint Government Inspector cartouches on left side of stock. Wood although sound, shows moderate to heavy wear with scattered dents and bruises. -MKS-
