Stunning set of 2 art deco emerald and diamond dress clips, handcrafted in platinum with 18k white gold hinged clasps, circa 1925. The pair are perfectly matched, and can be combined together on a custom handmade 18k white gold mounting to be worn as an impressive brooch. When combined, the brooch measures 2-1/8" long by 1" tall, and has a gross weight of 22.8 grams. The brooch is set with a total of 146 mixed-cut diamonds with an estimated total weight of 4.00cts, and a total of 36 square-cut natural emeralds with an estimated total weight of .50cts. Each of the clips is set with 61 mixed single-cut and brilliant-cut round diamonds, along with 11 straight-cut baguette diamonds, and each showcase 1 central marquise-cut diamond weighing approximately .25cts. The piece is stamped "IRID.PLAT" and "18K". The set is in mint condition with virtually no signs of wear at all. The overall quality, fit, finish and craftsmanship is exceptional to say the least!
