Early NSKK dagger with a "Joseph Wolfe, Munchen" marked blade with moderate runner and scattered marks, and freckling to 25-30% of its blade. A number of tiny nicks are present on the unsharpened blade edges. The blade has been polished and cleaned. The SA style motto of "Alles fur Deutschland" is present on the blade. Solid nickel fittings have a uniform nice age patina, and the cross guard has the NSKK Gruppe marking of "Ho" (Hochland), which is correctly off center. Rosewood grip has a coat of lacquer on it and has light dings and scratches. There is a 1" spot on the reverse where the finish has worn off. SA style emblem and eagle are original to the grip and in excellent condition. Scabbard retains approximately 95-97% of its original black painted finish. Nickel fittings have a nice age patina throughout. The nickel chain links have steel connecting rings and two links are marked "Musterschutz NSKK Korpsfuhrng" with another having the "RZM" emblem in a circle, with the steel clip being marked "RZM" in a circle, "M6/71" and the maker "clc" in a diamond. CONDITION: Blade is good, grip is very good, and the scabbard is excellent. Overall very good to excellent condition. WZ
