Made in 1933 by Winchester Repeating Arms, this Model 42 is marked "Deluxe" below the serial number. Gun features a solid rib blued barrel with single brass bead sight. Blued frame with grouse and pointing dogs engraved on left side and single dog at point on two quail on right side. Jeweled bolt and lifter. Floral engraving on trigger guard and barrel breech. Fancy walnut checkered pistol grip stock with Winchester logo cap and buttplate. Fancy beavertail style checkered slide handle with three band chevron checkering. CONDITION: Overall excellent with wear on tube from operation. Other than that gun seems to be in almost unfired condition after this total refinish and upgrade by an unknown master craftsman. Beautiful little 42 Winchester. DM
