Manufactured 1882. Full numbers matching on both barrel stages, frame, wood grips, sideplate, rear of cylinder, cylinder axis pin; last two digits matching on two of three screw heads (one has an illegible digit, but other legible digit is "8"), grip eschutcheons, front of loading gate, hammer assembly, mainspring, hammer spring, trigger, cylinder stop, trigger, and trigger guard. Frame marked "HS" "B" under grips. Interior of frame with "F" "M" "BEK". Early cannon muzzle, rotatable lanyard ring, and longer barrel. Unit marked on buttcap "33.A.5.4". Holster of appropriate type without pouch for ammo. CONDITION: Very good as refinished. Metal with visible pitting under refinish, some legends have been restamped; Sauer and Sohn logo considerably softened. Grips are worn and have an old added coat of varnish. Action works appropriately, bore is good, with visible rifling and consistent pitting throughout. Holster has been reconditioned and has scattered areas of abrasion, with two cuts along the rear, approximately 5" long. EW
